WORCESTER - Worcester Sharks President and CEO Michael T. Lehr announced today that the organization has agreed to a partnership with Preferred Caps and Apparel to supply Worcester Sharks merchandise in their stores. Preferred Caps and Apparel has locations in Worcester at the Greendale Mall and in Leominster at the Mall at Whitney Field.

Preferred Caps and Apparel is owned and operated by Ms. Lynn Beso and is a licensed retailer for the National Football League, Major League Baseball and the National Hockey League.

The Worcester Sharks will receive a dedicated section within both stores to exclusively sell Sharks Merchandise. Such Sharks merchandise available at Preferred Caps and Apparel are replica jerseys, baseball caps, t-shirts, sweatshirts and novelty items.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for us to conveniently get merchandise in the hands of fans,” said Lehr. “Until now, the only way to purchase Sharks Merchandise was inside the DCU Center. We hope to create a culture where every person in the Worcester area owns Sharks gear and wears it in public.” 

Forwards Riley Armstrong and Craig Valette will be at Preferred Caps in the Greendale Mall on Friday evening, October 12th, from 6-8 p.m., to sign autographs and interact with fans.

The Worcester Sharks season is right around the corner with the home opener on October 13th at the DCU Center at 7:05 p.m. Season ticket packages are available by Crashing the Net at Sharksahl.com or calling the Sharks offices at 508.929.0500. Individual tickets to Sharks home games at the DCU Center will go on sale on Saturday, September 22 at 10:00 a.m.
