Benn Ferriero gets NHL call

SJ SHARKS RECALL FORWARD BENN FERRIERO FROM WORCESTER
 
            SAN JOSE – San Jose Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has recalled forward Benn Ferriero from the Worcester Sharks, the team’s top development affiliate in the American Hockey League.
 
Ferriero, 24, has played in two games for Worcester this season where he is tied for the team lead in both goals and points (2-1=3).  The third-year professional has spent parts of two seasons in San Jose posting 14 points (7-7=14) and a +12 plus/minus rating in 57 career NHL games played.
 
            The 5-foot-11, 190-pound native of Boston, Massachusetts was originally selected by Phoenix in the seventh round (196th overall) of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.  The Sharks signed him as a free agent on Sept. 1, 2009.
