Sharks Gear Up For Holiday Season
November 21, 2006
The Worcester Sharks and Baystate Financial Services are getting into the Holiday spirit as they sponsor a Toy Drive on Friday, November 24 against the Springfield Falcons. All fans attending the game are encouraged to bring a new unwrapped toy to the game. Anyone who brings a toy will receive one free ticket to the December 26 Sharks game against the Hartford Wolf Pack at the DCU Center. The unwrapped toys will benefit Mass D.S.S. and Worcester Kids Fund.
Friday’s game marks the beginning of “Black Fridays.” The Sharks debuted the jerseys this past Saturday night against the Providence Bruins. In honor of these fantastic looking threads, the Sharks have named all their Friday home games as “Black Fridays.”
Don’t forget every Friday night is College Night and all college students can enjoy an $8 Sharks ticket with a valid College I.D. There will be on ice Turkey Bowling during the second intermission.
On Sunday, the Sharks welcome Bob’s Stores and the Telegram and Gazette to the game at the DCU Center against the Hartford Wolf Pack. All Best of bob’s stores Card Holders are eligible for an $8 Sharks ticket at the DCU Center Box Office on the day of the game.
The first 3,000 fans in attendance will receive a commemorative foam puck, courtesy of the Telegram and Gazette and Bob’s Stores.
Sunday is also KIDS CLUB NIGHT presented by the Telegram and Gazette. Select members will take part in certain pre-game ceremonies such as Opening Puck Drop, High Five Club, Junior Reporter, and Shark of the Game. Each member was randomly selected except for the Junior Reporter, Thomas Meal, who won an essay contest. Thomas wrote about his favorite player, defenseman Brennan Evans.
