SAN JOSE SHARKS RECALL DEFENSEMAN DEREK JOSLIN FROM WORCESTER

SAN JOSE – San Jose Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has recalled defenseman Derek Joslin from the Worcester Sharks, the team’s top development affiliate in the American Hockey League.

Joslin, 22, is tied for the Worcester lead with four points (0-4=4) in three games.  He posted three assists in Worcester’s most recent contest at Lowell on Oct. 10.  In 2008-09, he made his NHL debut with San Jose appearing in 12 games without recording a point.

The six-foot-one, 210-pound native of Richmond, Ontario was originally selected by San Jose in the fifth round (149th overall) of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
