Jason Demers scored in the shootout and Thomas Greiss made 24 saves in net as the San Jose Sharks defeated the Los Angeles Kings 2-1 last night in Ontario, CA.

Benn Ferriero gave the Sharks a 1-0 lead in the first period. Greiss was ten seconds away from a shutout before Dustin Brown scored for the Kings.

The game featured three fights as Brad Staubitz, Derek Joslin, and Brandon Mashinter all dropped the gloves.

The Sharks are now 1-0 in preseason action.
