Worcester Sharks REDUCE pricing on all 2009-10 Season Ticket Packages
Sharks Economic Stimulus Plan to reduce season ticket prices an average of 8%

WORCESTERWorcester Sharks President and CEO Michael T. Lehr announced today that the Worcester Sharks will REDUCE the price of all 2009-10 full and half season ticket packages as part of the “Sharks Economic Stimulus Plan.”

Some of the exclusive highlights and benefits for full season ticket holders as part of the “Sharks Economic Stimulus Plan” will include:

  • An average of 8% price reduction from the 2008-09 season
  • Up to 20% savings off box office ticket pricing
  • Payment plans to fit everyone’s specific needs including a new ten-month plan
  • Priority access to purchase tickets to other DCU Center events (subject to availability)
  • Five FREE “friends and family” ticket vouchers with ability to purchase additional tickets at 40% off box office ticket prices.

“Given the current state of our economy, the Sharks are pleased to announce that we are reducing the price of season ticket packages for next season, said Lehr. “Our season ticket holders are the life line and foundation of our organization and this offer will allow us to retain our current partners and attract new fans.”

Entering their fourth season in Worcester, the Sharks look forward to another affordable and fan friendly season at the DCU Center. As an incentive, any Sharks fan that secures their 2009-10 season tickets by placing just a $50 deposit per seat by April 13th will receive the first round of the 2009 Calder Cup playoffs at the DCU Center for FREE.

In addition, Lehr announced that Box Office and day-of-game ticket pricing will be frozen for the 2009-10 season. “Our box office ticket prices continue to be among the lowest in the American Hockey League. We felt it was important to keep our game day ticket pricing affordable for families in central Massachusetts.”
