WORCESTER SHARKS RELEASE SCHEDULE OF PREY
WORCESTER Worcester Sharks President and CEO Michael T. Lehr announced the schedule of opponents for the 2008-09 season.
 
The Sharks will play 80 regular season games with 40 games on home-ice at the DCU Center and 40 games on the road.
 
Worcester will play the traditional five home and five road games against Atlantic Division foes (Lowell, Portland, Providence and Springfield) with the exception of the Hartford Wolf Pack and the Manchester Monarchs, who they will play a total of eight times (four home, four away).
 
In addition, Worcester will again play East Division opponents Albany, Bridgeport and Norfolk four times (two home, two away).  Additional opponents this season from the division are the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins, Philadelphia Phantoms, Hershey Bears, and the Binghamton Senators for two games each (one home, one away).

For the third consecutive season, the Houston Aeros and San Antonio Rampage will be the only Western Conference teams the Worcester Sharks will play (one home, one away).
 
The American Hockey League will release the complete 2008-09 schedule by early August.
 
Entering their third season in Worcester, the Sharks look forward to another exciting season highlighted by hosting the 2009 AHL All-Star Classic at the DCU Center.
