Support Your Hometown Team!

Who has the best fans in the American Hockey League? That’s right, your Worcester Sharks! Do you love the excitement of professional hockey? Well, if you’re searching for new ways to reach the next level as a Sharks fan, then the Worcester Sharks Booster Club is for you! The Booster Club is made up of dedicated people who love hockey and especially their home team. By supporting the Worcester Sharks on and off the ice, the Booster Club plays an integral part in the team’s success.

The Worcester Sharks Booster Club is surging with over 200 members. They are ever visible in the Greater Worcester Community, taking time to spread their goodwill and help worthwhile charities while always having a good time.

Each month, the Booster Club newsletter, Sharks Bytes, is distributed electronically to members and is available on the Booster Club’s website, www.sharksboosters.com. Sharks Bytes details all of the successes of the team, as well as the upcoming events and activities of the Booster Club.

Feeling social? The Booster Club meets once a month at a Booster Club General Meeting. At these meetings you can meet a player, talk with a Worcester Sharks staff member to receive the latest news on the Worcester Sharks. If all of this isn’t enough, how about a game of broomball? The Booster Club hosted the annual Broomball Tournament at the New England Sports Center. Hooked yet? Well, there’s more. Anyone feel like a parade? The Booster Club participates in the Columbus Day Parade down Shrewsbury Street in October and the Annual St.Patrick’s Day Parade on Park Avenue in March!

Being a Booster Club member isn’t all fun and games, though. The Boosters take their community involvement very seriously. The Booster Club conducts 50/50 raffles every home game to benefit a variety of local charities. The Booster Club holds two banquets each year. The Holiday Banquet is where you will see the Boosters holding a toy drive for local youths. The Boosters will also assist with a Clothing Drive. The Annual Awards Banquet is held in the spring where players are honored with various awards from the Boosters. Boosters are always welcomed to assist in planning the banquets that see Boosters and Worcester Sharks players sitting together having a wonderful evening. Another important fundraiser for the Booster Club is by volunteering to help out with the DCU concession stands during various events. Training is given to each member. This is a wonderful opportunity to be with other Boosters & to have a great time working with one another!

All aboard! Road games are just as much fun for the Booster Club. The Booster Club has traveled to cheer on the Worcester Sharks in Portland, Providence, Albany and Springfield where the cost of the trip is affordable including bus transportation and ticket. Raffle prizes are given out on the bus. This year, a trip is being planned for Norfolk, Virginia. With the fun Booster Club road trips you don’t have to miss one exciting minute of Worcester Sharks hockey! Discounted tickets are also available for Sharks away games if you choose to go on your own.
