Charter's Channel 3 to air All-Star Classic

The All-Star Classic culminates on Monday night at 7p.m. with the 2008 AHL All-Star Game. Fans will watch the best young hockey players in the world and future NHL stars compete in the All-Star Game.

The AHL All-Star Classic broadcast will be available to over 100 million homes across the United States and Canada, and will be webcast live worldwide on the internet.
Of the 427 players to take part in the AHL All-Star Classic since 1995, more than 93 percent have competed in the National Hockey League, including Patrice Bergeron, Brad Boyes, Daniel Briere, Zdeno Chara, Jonathan Cheechoo, Pavol Demitra, Rick DiPietro, Patrik Elias, Ray Emery, Jiri Hudler, Miikka Kiprusoff, Kari Lehtonen, Ryan Miller, Martin St. Louis, Jason Spezza, Eric Staal and Steve Sullivan.
Worcester to host the 2009 AHL All-Star Classic!
American Hockey League President and CEO David Andrews announced that the Worcester Sharks and the city of
Worcester have been awarded the 2009 AHL All-Star Classic. The event will take place at the
DCU
Center in January, 2009. The 2009 event in Worcester will mark the fourth time since it was revived in 1995 that the AHL All-Star Classic will take place in
New England . The AHL All-Star Game was last held in Massachusetts in 1959 at the Eastern States Coliseum in
West Springfield .
