Red Hot Sharks host First Place Monarchs on Friday
The red hot Worcester Sharks (10-8-1-1, 22pts) look to extend their season best point streak to seven games when they host the first place Manchester Monarchs (16-5-1-4, 37pts) at the DCU Center on Friday at 7:30pm.
The Sharks are coming off a 2-1 shootout victory on Sunday in Manchester that featured the first professional goal by defenseman Konrad Abeltshauser and sensational goaltending from rookie Troy Grosenick.
Worcester is now 7-1-1-1 in their last ten games and continue to climb the standings in the Eastern Conference. Seven of the last ten games for Worcester have gone to at least overtime including the last two meetings vs. the Monarchs. Expect another close game on Friday as the Sharks and Monarchs battle for the 5th of 12 meetings this season (Worcester 2-2-0-0 in the season series).
Doors open at 6:30pm on Friday… make sure to arrive early as NE Patriots WR Kenbrell Thompkins will appear and sign autographs from 6:30-8pm in the DCU Center concourse presented by Bay State Savings Bank!
