WORCESTER, Mass. – Worcester Sharks general manager Wayne Thomas announced today that the club has signed center James Sheppard to an American Hockey League standard player contracts (SPC).  Per club policy, terms of the deal was not disclosed.

 

The 24-year-old center from Halifax, NS played four scoreless games with the Worcester Sharks last season and brings 224 NHL games of experience to the Sharks roster. Sheppard, the 9^th overall NHL draft selection by the Minnesota Wild in 2006, will wear #15 with the Worcester Sharks.

 

The Worcester Sharks now have 35 players at training camp in anticipation for the Sharks first pre season game on Thursday, October 4 at 7pm at the Hart Center at Holy Cross vs. the Connecticut Whale.
