Worcester Sharks host PINK in the RINK to benefit the Cup Crusaders on Feb 12
The DCU Center Ice will be colored PINK and the Sharks will wear PINK jerseys sponsored by Patriot Buick GMC
WORCESTER, MA – Worcester Sharks President Michael A. Mudd announced today the special events involving the “PINK in the RINK” Event to benefit the Cup Crusaders presented by Patriot Buick GMC on Sunday, February 12 at 3pm at the DCU Center in Worcester when the Sharks host the Portland Pirates.
For the first time in team history, the DCU Center Ice will be colored PINK and the Sharks will wear commemorative PINK jerseys sponsored by Patriot Buick GMC to benefit the Cup Crusaders and to support breast cancer awareness and research. The PINK jerseys will all be auctioned off through raffle, Chinese auction, silent auction, a post-game live auction, and a select few via an online auction; with proceeds to benefit the Cup Crusaders.
In addition; the first 1,000 fans will receive a Worcester Sharks PINK in the RINK t-shirt courtesy of Patriot Buick GMC and the Sharks will be selling PINK mystery autograph pucks with proceeds to benefit the Cup Crusaders.
“The Sharks are excited to host their first PINK in the RINK Event at the DCU Center,” said Mudd. “We’re honored to be partnered with the Cup Crusaders and Patriot Buick GMC to benefit this important cause, and we urge all of our fans to show their support and wear PINK to the game!”
Before the Worcester Sharks host the Portland Pirates at 3pm, the St. John’s high school varsity hockey team will battle St. Peter-Marian high school at 12pm in the 5th annual High School Hockey Showdown. Doors at the DCU Center will open at 11:30am with one ticket good for both games!

MISSION of the Cup Crusaders;
The Cup Crusaders, are a local team that raises money for the Susan G. Komen 3-day for the Cure®. The 3-Day is a 60-mile walk for women and men who want to make a personal difference in the fight to end breast cancer. The Cup Crusaders started in 2005 with the ultimate goal of being instrumental in helping to find a cure. To date, the team has raised over $775,000 and hope to break the $1Million mark in 2012 with the help of the Worcester Sharks and their fans!
