Frazer McLaren back to Worcester

            SAN JOSE – San Jose Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has recalled forward John McCarthy from the Worcester Sharks, the team’s top development affiliate in the American Hockey League.
 
McCarthy leads Worcester with 27 points (11 goals, 16 assists) in 37 games played.
 
McCarthy has appeared in 41 NHL games, all with San Jose, posting four points (two goals, two assists) and eight penalty minutes.
 
            The six-foot-one, 200-pound native of Boston, Massachusetts was selected by San Jose in the seventh round (202nd overall) of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
 
            In another transactions, forward Frazer McLaren has been assigned to Worcester, forward Tommy Wingels has been placed on injured reserve and defenseman Jim Vandermeer has been activated from injured reserve.
