Checking in with.... Tommy Wingels

Sharks Fans, SharksAHL.com will be checking in with Worcester Sharks players throughout the offseason! Our next victim is forward Tommy Wingels!  Tommy had a terrific first season as a professional last season, skating in 69 games for Worcester, scoring 17 goals and adding 16 assists and was named the Worcester Sharks rookie of the year! Wingels also suited up in five games with the San Jose Sharks and was called up again for the Stanley Cup playoffs. #17 checks in with us from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio!

Hey Shark fans! Tommy Wingels here, checking in from during the summer!

I am currently in Oxford, OH at Miami University finishing up school.  I am currently taking two classes and will graduate this summer… so kind of a big summer for me.  It is nice to be back at a place where I've spent a big part of my life and see a lot of my old teammates and good friends.
I have been traveling on some of the weekends and finally made it home this past weekend (hadn't been since Christmas).

Going forward, I will be traveling to San Jose for summer development camp in mid July and then some relaxing before camp starts up again in September.  I am enjoying working out and skating again, having taken two weeks off once returning from San Jose.   Hope everyone is enjoying their summer as much as I am and can not wait for the season to start up again!

All the best!

-Tommy
