Worcester West

Worcester Sharks alumni shining in Stanley Cup playoffs with San Jose.
The San Jose Sharks are only five games into their quest to take home the Stanley Cup and Worcester Sharks alumni have already been a HUGE part of their success. The Sharks lead the best of seven series3-2 over the Kings with Game 6 in LA on Monday.
Calder Trophy nominee, Logan Couture is 2nd on the SJ Sharks with five points, including two goals. Logan is averaging 19:22 of ice time and is 4th on the club with 17 shots on goal.
Both overtime game winners have been scored by Worcester Sharks alumni, as Joe Pavelski had the honors in Game 1 in a 3-2 victory in San Jose and Devin Setoguchi notching the winner in the 6-5 come-from-behind victory in Game 3 in Los Angeles.
In all, eight Worcester Sharks alumni (Couture, Pavelski, Setoguchi, Mitchell, Demers, Vlasic, Braun, and McGinn) have suited up for the San Jose Sharks through the five games of the playoffs totaling 15 points (8-7-15).
In addition; Andrew Desjardins, Brandon Mashinter, Jamie McGinn, Tommy Wingels, Nick Petrecki, Sean Sullivan, Carter Hutton, Harri Sateri, Thomas Greiss, Taylor Doherty, Cam MacIntyre, Matt Irwin, and Benn Ferriero are all practicing in San Jose and would be ready if needed.
