WORCESTER SHARKS JERSEYS TO BE AUCTIONED OFF ON SHARKSAHL.COM
WORCESTER - Worcester Sharks President Michael A. Mudd announced that the Worcester Sharks will auction off their V logo teal game worn jerseys from the 2010-11 season during an online auction through eBay and www.SharksAHL.com beginning on Sunday, April 10 at 8p.m. (EST).
The Sharks sported the game worn teal jerseys throughout their 5th anniversary season and consist some of the most prolific players ever to suit up for the Worcester Sharks; including Jonathan Cheechoo and Alex Stalock.
The online auction will begin on Sunday, April 10th at 8p.m. (EST) and conclude on Sunday, April 17th at 8p.m. (EST) and will consist of the following jerseys;
#7 John McCarthy- Worcester Sharks 5th anniversary teal game jersey worn by Worcester Sharks forward John McCarthy. 2nd year professional and led the Worcester Sharks with a +36 rating and was 11th in the AHL among rookies with 42 points last season. Was co-captain of BU when they won the National Championship and scored his first NHL goal this season. The Andover, MA native has split time in San Jose and Worcester this season. Click HERE
#10 Frazer McLaren- Worcester Sharks 5th anniversary teal game jersey worn by Sharks forward and tough guy Frazer McLaren, drafted by San Jose in the 7th round of the 2007 NHL entry draft. Has appeared in nine games with San Jose this season and recorded four fighting majors. Set a Worcester Sharks record with 21 fights in the 2008-09 season. #14 Jonathan Cheechoo- Worcester Sharks 5th anniversary game jersey worn by Sharks forward and top goal scorer Jonathan Cheechoo. The native of Moose Factory, Ontario has played in 501 regular season games in the NHL compiling 170 goals and 135 assists for a total of 305 points. He played 440 games with the San Jose Sharks recording 291 points (166-126-291) in 2002 through 2009. Cheechoo led the NHL in goals scored (56) during the 2005-06 season winning the Maurice “Rocket” Richard Trophy. #21 Benn Ferriero- Worcester Sharks 5th anniversary game jersey worn by Sharks forward Benn Ferriero, originally drafted by Phoenix in the 2006 draft before being acquired by San Jose. Tallied a team high ten goals in the first nine games with Worcester to start this season. Has four goals and four assists in 26 games with San Jose this season. #22 Andrew Desjardins – Worcester Sharks 5th anniversary game jersey worn by Sharks center and original “crazed rat” Andrew Desjardins. Worcester Sharks MVP this season, leading the team with a +14. Made NHL debut this season in San Jose and scored first NHL goal vs. Miika Kiprusoff of Calgary. Currently on recall with San Jose. #27 Justin Braun- Worcester Sharks 5th anniversary game jersey worn by Sharks rookie defenseman and UMASS-Amherst alum, Justin Braun. Originally drafted by San Jose in the 7th round of the 2009 NHL entry draft. Has played in his first 25+ games in the NHL this season with San Jose scoring his first two NHL goal and adding nine assists. Has five goals and 18 assists in 34 games with Worcester this season. #32 Alex Stalock - Worcester Sharks 5th anniversary game jersey worn by Sharks goaltender Alex Stalock. The 2nd year pro was the Team MVP and 3 Stars award winner last season as he set the AHL record with 39 wins by a rookie netminder. Made his NHL debut this season and made 9 saves in his first NHL victory over the Phoenix Coyotes. Drafted by San Jose in the 4th round in the 2005 NHL draft. #35 Harri Sateri - Worcester Sharks 5th anniversary game jersey worn by Sharks goaltender Harri Sateri.
the 21-year-old-rookie from Toijala, Finland was a 4th round draft selection by San Jose on 2008. Played the last three seasons in the Finnish Elite League for Tappara Tampere. 44 Jamie McGinn- Worcester Sharks 5th anniversary game jersey worn by Sharks forward Jamie McGinn. He was originally drafted by the San Jose Sharks in the 2nd round (36th overall) in 2006 draft. Jamie scored 19 goals with Worcester in 2008-09 and led the club with eight power play goals. Former captain of the Ottawa 67’s in the OHL. Jamie is the only Sharks player to suit up in all five seasons in Worcester. Has played in 143 career games with the San Jose Sharks. Rebook jersey size 58
