Sharks look to swim into post-season as season winds down
Sharks trail Whale by 2 points and Senators by 5 going into final 5 games
The Sharks will play three pivotal games this weekend as they enter the final six games of a 2010-11 season that will come right down to the wire.
As of Sunday morning, Worcester currently trails the Connecticut Whale by two points for the final guaranteed playoff spot, and trails the Binghamton Senators by five points for the final overall playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Sunday the Sharks wrap up a three game stretch when they travel to Providence to play the Bruins for the 12th and final time this season. The puck drops at 4:05 in the Dunkin’ Donuts Center.
While the Sharks fight for their playoff lives in Providence, the Whale take on the Atlantic Division first place Portland Pirates. The Whale are 4-3-0-0 this year against the Pirates. Meanwhile the Binghamton Senators travel to Albany to take on the Devils. The Senators are 3-4-0-0 this season against the Devils.
