Brennan Evans Checks In with New Blog - Loves the DCU Center Atmosphere
October 30, 2006
Hello!
So, it’s been a bit since I last checked in. I apologize for that, please don’t be too angry with me.
Last time I wrote I told you all about how I had a slight injury and could not play on Opening Night. Well fortunately, I played in the last three home games and let me tell you. It was awesome. The atmosphere is unreal and I can’t say thank you enough for coming out to support us. It doesn’t go unnoticed and we all talk about it after the game. If you haven’t come out yet, don’t wait anymore, come out and watch, it’s a fun time.
Okay, now that I got that off my chest, I’ll move on to some other things. We have been practicing at Holy Cross College lately while they finish installing the curtain at the DCU Center. Holy Cross is nice, but I would like to be able to practice at the DCU Center.
After practice, I went for lunch on campus with some of the other guys on the team. Food was decent and there were a ton of good looking girls around, almost makes me wish i went to school. I will definatley be back there some time in the near future and its not going to be for the food.
Next order of business, I am getting closer and closer to getting my Infiniti. I have found the one i want, now its just a matter of crossing the i's and dotting the t's. When I am not on the phone dealing with car salesmen, I have been addicted to Riley's guitar hero video game on Playstation. For a guy who is at the rink from about 9 till noon, those games are awsome, you can sit there all day rocking out.
Playing video game guitar has got me wanting to play my real guitar now though. Unfortunatley it is still at home in Canada so I am in the market to get a new one. So if anyone has a good deal on guitar's let me know. Actually me and Brad Staubitz are looking for some help on the 6 string, so if there are any guitar playing hockey fans out there, we would love some lessons!
And last but not least some of the guys and I went fishing on a local fishing show on Sunday. So if anyone wants to see how the Sharks can fish, tune into "GO FISH with Dan Kenney." I'm not sure when they are going to air it, but it will be worth your while to see Ashton Rome catch his first fish!! It was a great time for the guys who went out and battled the elements to try and catch some fish. Unfortunatley for me my fishing skills are fairly limited, so all i ended up with were some weeds and frozen toes!
Anyways, that’s all for now.
BING, BANG, BOOM!
You stay classy Worcester!
With love,
#44
