August 29, 2007
WORCESTER - Worcester Sharks President and CEO Michael T. Lehr announced today that the organization has hired Eric S. Lindquist as the new “Voice of your Worcester Sharks.” Lindquist brings a solid five years of broadcasting experience to the Sharks organization coming from both professional hockey and baseball.
Lindquist’s bellowing voice will be heard during all 80 regular season Sharks games on News/ Talk 580 WTAG. In addition to his play-by-play responsibilities, the 28-year old will also manage the broadcasting and corporate sales duties.
“We are very pleased to add another Massachusetts grown talent to the Sharks organization,” said Lehr. “Eric brings solid play-by-play experience and great passion for hockey to our team.”
The North Andover native decided to retreat from his California residence and return to his Massachusetts roots to join the Sharks organization for their second season in Franchise History.
He most recently served as Director of Media Relations and Baseball Operations and radio voice for the Long Beach Armada, a professional baseball team in the Golden Baseball League. Prior to joining the Armada, Lindquist spent one season as the Director of Media Relations and play-by-play broadcaster of the Long Beach Ice Dogs in the ECHL. Lindquist has also served as color commentator for the AHL’s former Lowell Lock Monsters and the Lowell Spinners baseball team, single-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox.
Eric is a graduate of Northeastern University with a degree in Communications.
