August 29, 2007
WORCESTER - On Friday evening, the Worcester Sharks will be attending the Worcester Tornadoes game at Hanover Insurance Park at Fitton Field. The Tornadoes will be playing against the Sussex Skyhawks in their final regular season home game. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m.
The ceremonial first pitch will be thrown out by the Sharks Chief Operating Officer David Daniels. Daniels will be accompanied by everyone’s favorite mascot, FINZ.
In addition to the ceremonial first pitch, the new "Voice of the Sharks" Eric Lindquist will join Tornadoes radio play-by-play announcer Jeremy Lechan in the radio booth for an inning. Lindquist will also join Charter's WCTR-TV3 announcers Kevin Shea and Andy LaCombe for an inning. This will be Lindquist's first introduction into the Worcester air waves.
Following the contest, there will be a post-game fireworks show courtesy of Price Chopper and The United States Army. Price Chopper and the Army are also partners of the Sharks.
