On Sunday, September 23, 2007 beginning at 12:00 p.m. sharp, the Worcester Sharks will be taking part in the Walk to Cure Cancer at UMass Medical School. All Sharks fans are encouraged to join their team and participate in this worthy cause.

The ninth annual Walk to Cure Cancer supports cancer research at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and cancer care UMass Memorial Cancer Center.

The 2007 goal is $1 million dollars. This goal can easily be met with the help of some of the best fans in the world, Worcester Sharks fans! Each teammate and walker can raise money by asking friends and family to contribute to the walk. It’s as simple as asking each person to donate $10. Ask 10 friends and before you know it, you have raised $100 dollars.
