Defenseman Tom Walsh Recalled from Fresno

WORCESTER - Worcester Sharks General Manager Wayne Thomas announced today that the club has recalled defenseman Tom Walsh from the Fresno Falcons of the ECHL. He will not be available for tonight’s game in Lowell against the Devils.
Walsh has appeared in four games with Worcester this season and has posted one assist and a plus-one rating in that span.
While with Fresno, the rookie defenseman played in 43 games for the Falcons and recorded two goals and seven assists for nine points. He also owned a plus-six rating.
Walsh, a native of Arlington, Mass was signed by Worcester to an American Hockey League contract on October 18, 2006.
Tonight, the Sharks will wrap-up an eight-game road trip against the Lowell Devils before returning back to the DCU Center on Friday to take on the Portland Pirates for Unum Cup Game No. 8. It’s “Go Red Night” in partnership with the American Heart Association. Fans can save $2 off the ticket price by wearing RED to the game and mentioning “Go Red Night” at the DCU Center Box Office. The first 1,000 fans will receive Go Red Pom Poms.
