WORCESTER - For the Worcester Sharks, Mathieu Darche isn’t the only All-Star. Darche will be joined by Sharks loveable mascot, FINZ.

FINZ is a major selection to this year’s All-Star team as he was chosen in his rookie year. With as many community events and appearances FINZ does, he might be the favorite for Rookie of the Year. Throughout the City of Worcester, he is certainly known as the “Big Fish on Campus.”

FINZ isn’t just a one-sport athlete either. Not only can pick top shelf from the slot on a consistent basis, he tried out as the kicker for Worcester’s newest indoor football team, the New England Surge. The seven-foot fish is still hoping for a spot on the roster as the team’s first string kicker. With the size of his feet, he has to be a “shoe” in.

The loveable mascot was born on March 26, 2006 and was drafted by the Worcester Sharks in the first round, first overall. FINZ has become a valuable member of the Sharks team and once again proves the Sharks Hockey Operations department as well as the Community Relations department made the selection – as always.
