Congratulations to Dan DaSilva for winning the first 2009 Sharkie Award for his terrific performance in Game 6 vs. Hartford to guide the Sharks to their first ever playoff series victory!
Below are the rest of the results:
30% of vote -Thomas Greiss shutouts the Bruins in Game 4 making 26 saves in 1-0 win.
18% of vote -Ryan Vesce scores two goals, including the overtime goal in Game 3 vs. Hartford.
14% of vote -Jamie McGinn scores two goals, less than three hours after flying from San Jose in Game 1 vs. Providence.
7% of vote -Patrick Traverse records three points (2-1-3) in the first period to lead the Sharks to a Game 5 victory in Hartford.

This week, we will ask you to vote for the most impressive overall regular season accomplishment as the Sharks set a franchise record with 42 wins!
Who will win the 2009 Sharkie Award for the MOST IMPRESSIVE overall regular season accomplishment?
Below, in no particular order, are the nominees for the MOST IMPRESSIVE overall regular season accomplishment:
-Frazer McLaren records a franchise record 21 fighting majors.
-Ryan Vesce records a franchise record nine game winning goals, four of which came in overtime.
-Thomas Greiss sets a franchise record with 30 wins in between the pipes.
-Patrick Traverse finished 11th in the AHL defenseman scoring race with 43 points (9-34-43). Traverse had the best offensive season in his 15th professional season.
-Rookie Jason Demers led the Sharks in +/- with a +15 rating.
