Player Spotlight... Dan DaSilva!

As part of the Player Spotlight series, SharksAHL.com is giving fans a chance to read (and see!) more of their favorite Worcester Sharks! This week highlights third line grinder and clutch playoff performer Dan DaSilva, who had an excellent first season with the Worcester Sharks in the AHL.

Season Highlight: In the series clinching Game 6 in the first round of the 2009 Calder Cup playoffs against the Hartford Wolf Pack, DaSilva scored the Sharks’ 3rd and 4th goals of the night on the way to a clinching 5-3 victory at the DCU Center.
Did you know?: Dan is quite the globetrotter throughout the minor league hockey world. The Sharks are Dan’s seventh team that he has played for in just four professional seasons!
Interesting Tidbits: On October 11, 2005, DaSilva was signed by the Colorado Avalanche when he was just 20 years old. DaSilva grew up with Riley Armstrong in Saskatoon, SASK.
2008-09 in a Nutshell: DaSilva had a knack for coming up big in big moments throughout the 2008-2009 season. Along with helping the Sharks to reach the second round of the Calder Cup playoffs, he scored the game-winning goal in the third period to help the Sharks clinch a playoff birth against the Portland Pirates!
