SAN JOSE SHARKS REDUCE TRAINING CAMP ROSTER BY THREE

SAN JOSE – San Jose Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has assigned three players from the 2008-09 San Jose Sharks Training Camp to the Worcester Sharks, the team’s top development affiliate in the American Hockey League.  The moves leave 23 players on the San Jose active roster.

Riley Armstrong       RW          Worcester                         Signed as a free agent, Sept. 15, 2004

Kyle McLaren           D             Worcester                          Acquired via trade Jan. 23, 2003

Brad Staubitz           RW          Worcester                          Signed as a free agent, Sept. 19, 2005

 

The Sharks will open their third season in Lowell on Saturday, October 11^th at 7:00 p.m.  Worcester will then travel to Glens Falls in New York to battle the River Rats on the October 17^th at 7:30 p.m., and then return home for the team’s home opener against Providence on October 18^th at 7:05 p.m.  The first 3,000 fans in attendance will receive All-Star bobbleheads and magnet schedules courtesy of Charter Communications!  All fans will also be treated to a pre-game concert by Joshua Tree, a U2 tribute band!  Joshua Tree will perform a post game concert at the Boston Billiard Club at Worcester!
