Sharks Movember!
Hey Sharks fans! The month of November means its time to shift our attention to the 2011 Movember Initiative.
The entire Worcester Sharks team led by Captain Mike Moore will be growing moustaches this month to help the HP4K charity organization and garner awareness for Movember!
The 2011 Movember Initiative is a mustache contest that runs throughout the month of November. It urges men all over the world to grow out their “Mo’s” in an effort to raise funds and awareness for men’s health. The money is used to benefit the research and causes that take a stance against prostate cancer as well as other diseases commonly found in men.
With your help HP4K would like to encourage others to donate to the cause and participate in the Movember contest.
HP4K stands for “Hockey Players for Kids.” It is an organization that makes it possible for professional hockey players to give back to the communities they represent. There are numerous NHL and AHL players that make it their mission to exhibit exceptional leadership, enthusiasm, and public goodwill throughout their respective communities. HP4K is working with Movember Worldwide to educate and support men’s health initiatives.
Fans are encouraged to join their favorite Worcester Sharks players and send in their best Movember Mustache pictures to be posted on the HP4K website (www.hp4k.org). You will also be able to follow the progress of the Sharks mustaches as they will have pictures on the Worcester Sharks website updating their facial hair growth throughout the month.

The San Jose Sharks, NHL affiliate of the Worcester Sharks, are also getting in on the Movember action. Former Worcester Shark Frazer McLaren is already sporting healthy Movember stache. Logan Couture, Jason Demers, Ryane Clowe and other current San Jose Sharks hopped on the Movember bandwagon again this season!
