Sharks Chat with Nate Raduns -- 3/5/2008
Join Rookie Nate Raduns for this week's edition of Wednesday Web Chats on March 5th at 11am before the Sharks host the Admirals.

Jon (Shrewsbury, MA): Why do you war # 10?.... If you could choice what # would you wear and why?
Nate Raduns: Actually when I got to Worcester for training camp they had given me #10. I wore it for a few games in preseason and I liked it. So #10 is the number I would choose if I could choose any #.
Megan (Worcester, MA): Have any siblings? Does anyone else in your family play hockey?
Nate Raduns: I have a brother that is 31 and he played hockey in high school. I also have a sister that is 28. My Dad didn't play hockey. I just picked it up from watching my brother.
Anna (worcester): if you could have lunch with anyone who would it be?
Nate Raduns: Jerry Seinfeld. I have watched every episode countless times and he is a hilarious person. I enjoy his type of humor and that is why it would be great to sit down and have lunch and talk about "nothing."
Billy (Hudson): Who was your favorite player growing up?
Nate Raduns: I didn't really have a favorite player growing up because the North Stars were around when I was too young so I didn't see much NHL growing up. I idolized more high school player and college players when I was growing up.
Mark (Worcester): What type of things do you have to do as a rookie?
Nate Raduns: Well after we go on a road trip and everyone leaves garbage behind the rookies get to clean that up. Also, we have to pick up pucks after practice.
Kim (Fitchburg): Do you have any nicknames? What is your favorite pre game meal?
Nate Raduns: This year the guys have called me Rads. I college my nickname was Radar. My favorite pre game meal would be any type of pasta and chicken along with a piece of garlic bread. Add a salad and it would make that meal even better.
John (MA): Who do you enjoy playing with the most on your line? How tough has the transition been college to pro?
Nate Raduns: I have played with so many different guys that it really doesn't matter that much anymore. In the WCHA a lot of the rinks are olympic sized so the biggest transition for me is having to play on a much smaller sheet of ice and having less time and space.
Mike (Hudson): What are your plans for the off season?
Nate Raduns: I think I am going to take a month off from doing a whole lot. Probably just golf and hang out with friends back in central MN. Then I will start working out and get ready for the upcoming season.
Becky (Worcester, MA): If you could be a member in any boy band which one would it be and why?
Nate Raduns: Blink 182. I like punk rock.
Biggs (Sauk Rapids): Nate, when are you coming home?
Nate Raduns: I am not sure Biggs but you will know when I am hanging out in your basement watching the big screen.
Home (Sauk Rapids): Just a quick congrats from home and a good luck wish to you and team for tonights game!
Nate Raduns: Thanks a lot Mom and Dad. I will call you after the game.
Bill P (St. Cloud, MN): Nate, first of all, we're very happy to see the great season you are having. You've always been a very good defensive player. What do you attribute the increased offensive numbers to? Best wishes and we hope to see you in San Jose in the future.
Nate Raduns: I worked hard to improve my offense last summer and it has paid off. Also, I have been playing with more confidence and that helps out more than anything else.
