Sharks Chat with Defenseman Brennan Evans -- 1/10/2008
Join Worcester Sharks Defenseman Brennan Evans for a Web Chat on Thursday, January 10th at 1:30p.m.

Anna (leominster M.A.): who was your favorite hockey player when you were growing up?
Brennan Evans: My favorite hockey player was Wayne Gretzky because I lived in Edmonton. With any kid from Canada, Gretzky is your favorite player.
mike (230): Hey Brennan, Did you have any new years resolutions for 2008? If so what were they?
Brennan Evans: One New Year's resolution is to try and score a goal. Another goal is to stop beating up my roommates, Derek Joslin and Brad Staubitz.
Charles Goodacre (Rutland, MA): What's up, Brennan. Did you and the team watch the outdoor game between the Penguins and Sabres? What did you think? I thought it was pretty cool, with Riley's brother scoring, too. Happy New Year and good luck the rest of the season. Go Sharks!
Brennan Evans: It was cool. The Oilers had the same type of game two years ago and my family went to the game. They really enjoyed it, so I watched it. It was a really cool idea. Something that a lot of people would want to have a part in.
DEAN Section 109 (Shreswbury): Great Season for far with the fights ! My question to is your a great fighter in hockey ! when you go to the NHL do you think your going to fight more there ?? Keep up with all the work you make the crowd go crazy when you fight ! !
Brennan Evans: It's nice to hear the appreciation from the crowd after a fight. If I get the opportunity to go to the NHL, I would probably be fighting the same amount, or whatever is necessary.
Anna (Worcester): If you could have lunch with anyone who would it be?
Brennan Evans: If I could have lunch with anyone, it would be Sean Penn. I'm a big fan of his movies and his acting. He would have a lot of interesting things to say.
Anna (Worcester): how many fights have you been in
Brennan Evans: I have been in eight fights this year. Including juniors and my professional career, it's up to around 86.
Court (Fitchburg): Derek said in his webchat that you and Brad do all the housework while he sits back and hangs out. Is this true? Are you going to stand for that? Haha.
Brennan Evans: Yes, it is very true. If Brad and I don't do it, it won't get done. Derek still thinks he lives with his parents. We need to take it one step at a time. Getting him to brush his teeth is our biggest priority.
Court (Fitchburg): You and Brad are both the Sharks 'fighters' but after this weekend, Derek has dropped the gloves twice. Do you think you two are rubbing off on him? What kind of fighting occurs in the apartment?
Brennan Evans: The fighting in the apartment is more like beatings than fighting. Hopefully, the more we rub off on Derek, the better.
Court (Fitchburg): An article in the T&G last week said there was no difference in home vs away games for the team. Do you think the fans don't support the team enough? What can they do to support them more? What do you think of the fans in Worcester in general?
Brennan Evans: I disagree. The fans here in Worcester have been awesome for us. It's unfortunate that our record at home doesn't indicate how great the fans have been both last year and this year.
Nicole (Worcester,Ma): Hey Brennan, I was just wondering who is the funniest on the team?
Brennan Evans: I tell the funniest jokes, but the funniest looking is Army (Riley Armstrong).
Nikki Muroski (Rochester, NY): How many times have you been told you look like my brother (TJ Fox)!?!?! It's pretty scary! See you Saturday in Albany!
Brennan Evans: I've never heard that before and I take serious offense to anyone who tells me that TJ Fox looks like me.
Tommy (Chelmsford, Ma): whats the best part of playing defense
Brennan Evans: One thing that stands out is how there are lots of opportunities for making hits.
Tommy (Chelmsford, ma): do you practice checking at practice like we do on my squirt team
Brennan Evans: We have scrimmages in practice, but we don't do drills designed specifically for checking. When I was in squirts, we would practice checking all the time.
Mike (): Almost Happy Birthday! Any Birthday Wishes?
Brennan Evans: My birthday was on the 6th of January. I turned 26. My birthday wish would be for a Calder Cup Championship this season.
Brenda (Brockton): If you could be any house pet what would you be?
Brennan Evans: I would definetely be a lion because I'm the kind of the jungle.
Tom (Shrewsbury): Peanut butter and jelly or peanut butter and fluff?
Brennan Evans: Neither. I prefer peanut butter and jam. I've never even heard of peanut butter and fluff.
Melissa (Worcester): Choice dance move... the Electric slide or the macarena?
Brennan Evans: Neither. I would rather moonwalk.
