Derek Joslin: Most of the older guys have been really good with me. Living with Brad Staubitz and Brennan Evans has been great. Having a guy like Patrick Traverse around has also been very helpful.

| Billy (New Hampshire): Who was your favorite player growing up?
Who do you mold yourself after?

Derek Joslin: My favorite player growing up was Wayne Gretzky. I dont' really mold myself after anybody. I just try to play my own game and do the best that I can.

| Jill (Canada): What are some of your other hobbies?
Do you live with any of the other guys?
Do you guys keep a clean place?

Derek Joslin: I live with Brad Staubitz and Brennan Evans and I just sit around all day while they clean and cook.
I really like to read, hang out, and be out side and active.

| dan shune (San Jose): what is it like playing hockey as your job and not just as a hobby?

Derek Joslin: For me it's the best job in the world. It's been a dream of mine to make a living playing hockey and to actually be doing that is amazing.

| john jacobs (boise Idaho): what kind of changes have you seen in your game since the begining of the season?

Derek Joslin: I think I'm starting to take more chances. At the beginning, being a rookie, I was a bit more tentative. As time goes on I'm becoming more comfortable and able to take more chances.

| Tim Lickmin (Ashland MA): what is it like playing with vetran AHL players?

|
Derek Joslin: It's really good for me to learn from guys who have been in the league for a while. I just try to watch them in practice and in games and see how they handle themselves and that's what helps me to get better.

Derek Joslin: I'll be asking Santa for a couple more wins in the New Year and for our team to get back on track and play up to our potential. I'll also be asking for a dish washer since Brennan and Brad slave in the kitchen all day!

| Charles Goodacre (Rutland, MA): What's up, Derek, welcome to Worcester. You seem to have a real hard shot from the blue line. I play defense in a squirt league. How can I develop a strong shot? Are there any exercises you recommend? Thanks, and good luck this year.

Derek Joslin: Ever since I was young, my dad has been telling me to shoot the puck as hard as I can, even if there is no goalie in the net in practice. You always have to shoot it hard, that's how you'll become more consistent.

Derek Joslin: Wayne Gretzky because he is the greatest player to ever play the game...and he's Canadian!

Derek Joslin: I'm flying home on the 23rd to see family and friends. I'll be back on Boxing Day for practice.

Derek Joslin: I'd be a lion because he's the king of the jungle!

Derek Joslin: Muhammad Ali - because he's one of the greatest athletes of all time and seems like a pretty interesting guy.

Derek Joslin: One year I got Toronto Maple Leaf tickets. That was pretty exciting.

| Leonard (Worcester): What is your favorite part of playing hockey?

Derek Joslin: I like being able to come to the rink every day. I also really like being part of a team, working towards a common goal.

| Joe (Worcester): Besides hockey, what is your next favorite sport?

Derek Joslin: I like to play basketball.

Derek Joslin: Denzel Washington because he's my favorite actor and I'd just like to see what he does in a day.
