| Dave (Holden): Marc,
How exciting is it to have the chance to play pro hockey right in your own backyard?
Marc Busenburg: It's a great opportunity. Something that probably never crossed my mind when I used to watch the IceCats games back in High School.
| Phil (Millbury, MA): Seeing you are from Shrewsbury, would you expect to bring a large crowd to every game?
Marc Busenburg: I do have a large family that still live nearby. So I do expect them to show up. And I told all my friends that they have no excuses now on not coming to see me play.
| Jackie (Worcester): Hi Marc,
What consists of a pre-game ritual for you? Do you have one?
Marc Busenburg: I don't have any wierd pre-game rituals. Just the usual tape my stick, warm-up, and strech.
| Ryan (Fitchburg): Who was your biggest rival playing highschool hockey in Central Mass?
Marc Busenburg: Well with no hesitation I would have to say St. Johns of Shrewsbury. We hated them even though I was the only male in my family not to go there...Uncle, cousins, brothers all went.
| Kate (Worcester): Will you live right in Shrewsbury if play for the Sharks this season?
Marc Busenburg: Yes, thats the plan if all goes well.
| Rich (Shrewsbury. Mass): Marc,
Should you not make the team here in Worcester, do you have a backup plan?
Marc Busenburg: I did sign a contract with South Carolina Stingrays. I did spend some time there during last season and thought it was a great club, but obviously at a lower level.
| Joe (Auburn, MA): What type of style do you feel you bring to the blueline?
Marc Busenburg: I try to bring a complete package to the ice. A player that can take care of his own end of the ice and when possible jump into the play to create a scoring chance. My speed has always helped me on both.
| Toby (Mendon, MA): Marc,
What music pumps you up for games?
Thanks and good luck this season!
Toby McGrath
Marc Busenburg: I do like all types of music, but before games I like to listen to a mix of hip hop, rock, and alternative music.
| Kyle (Worcester): Do you feel its important for a defenseman to jump up on the offense whenever he can or is it better to stay back and "stay-at-home?"
Marc Busenburg: Well, I used to think that every chance I could I would jump up in the play. But I have learned that their are times when you should just stay back. Like when we are up in a game with not much time left.
| Robbie (Marlboro): How do you feel about fighting?
Marc Busenburg: I think it is part of the game. I have never been a big fighter myself, but I have dropped the gloves a few times.
| Amy (Woodstock, CT): Marc,
What do you think of the new tighter fitting equipment and jerseys? Is it comfortable?
Marc Busenburg: I haven't tried them out yet, but some guys say it takes a little bit to get used to.
