12.18.07 – Worcester 5 – Lowell 3 - Tsongas Arena
The Sharks won their season high 4th straight game with a 5-3 win over the Devils in Lowell. Mike Iggulden recorded three points (2-1-3) and Lukas Kaspar added a goal and an assist. Mike Morris scored his first professional goal and Derek Joslin scored his third. Thomas Greiss made 29 saves in net for the Sharks.
12.21.07 – Worcester 2 – Portland 3 – Cumberland County Civic Center
The Sharks dropped their 8th straight game in Portland and snapped a four game win streak after a 3-2 loss vs. the Pirates. Tomas Plihal and Riley Armstrong scored for the Sharks. Thomas Greiss made 24 saves in net for Worcester.
12.22.07 – Worcester 4 – Portland 3 OT- Cumberland County Civic Center
Dan Spang scored at 2:40 of overtime to give the Sharks their first win in Portland in over a year. Nate Raduns, Mike Iggulden, and Patrick Traverse also scored for the Sharks. Taylor Dakers recorded his third win of the season after making 23 saves.
Sharks in the Atlantic…
The Sharks (13-11-1-2) swim in 6th place with 29 points in the Atlantic Division, eight points behind the Pirates and Falcons for 4th place in the division. The Sharks have played an AHL low 27 games which is six fewer than Springfield and five fewer than Portland. The Sharks trail the Providence Bruins by 21 points for the top spot in the Atlantic.

*Worcester to host the 2009 AHL All-Star Classic!
American Hockey League President and CEO David Andrews announced that the Worcester Sharks and the city of Worcester have been awarded the 2009 AHL All-Star Classic. The event will take place at the DCU Center in January, 2009. The 2009 event in Worcester will mark the fourth time since it was revived in 1995 that the AHL All-Star Classic will take place in New England. The AHL All-Star Game was last held in Massachusetts in 1959 at the Eastern States Coliseum in West Springfield.
Coming Up:
The Sharks wrap up a five game road trip in Lowell on Thursday before returning to the DCU Center on Saturday, December 29th against the Monarchs at 7:05p.m., with the first 3,000 fans through the gates picking up a hand signed Mike Iggulden collector’s card. The evening will also feature post game fireworks as the Sharks celebrate the upcoming New Year.
On Sunday, the Sharks host the Devils at 4:05p.m. with a visit from SpongeBob Squarepants!
