Armstrong Jersey Lands High Bid in Jersey Auction

Worcester, Mass. - The Worcester Sharks held their first annual equipment sale and jersey auction on Saturday, May 12 inside the DCU Center Box Office.

The equipment sale was a huge success as local hockey players as well as memorabilia collectors were able to purchase skates, pants, socks, sticks, shoulder pads, helmets, gloves, and Sharks merchandise.

The highlight of the day was during the jersey auction when a loyal Sharks fan secured his favorite game worn jersey for $2,500. That jersey belonged to no other than forward Riley Armstrong. Armstrong was nominated this past season by the Sharks organization for the Fred T. Hunt Award given to the player within the American Hockey League who is most active in the community. Armstrong was that and more for the Sharks this season. The Worcester Sharks Booster Club also awarded Armstrong at the end of the season for “Fan Favorite.” To most, it’s no wonder that the jersey went for so much!
