Worcester Draws Manchester in First Round of Calder Cup Playoffs

WORCESTER, MA – The sellout crowd of 7,230 was still elated with Graham Mink’s overtime game-winner when Providence’s 1-0 victory over Manchester was announced on the DCU Center public address system. As a result, fans and players alike knew immediately that the Sharks had drawn the Atlantic Division Champion Monarchs as a first round playoff opponent.
Playoff time means scoreboard watching is a thing of the past, as the Sharks now fully control their own destiny. Four victories wins the series with Manchester; sixteen will bring the Calder Cup Trophy to Worcester for the first time ever. The postseason kicks off on Wednesday evening in New Hampshire, with the rest of the schedule shaking out as follows:
