Worcester Sharks announce Rob Gronkowski puck spike bobblehead giveaway slated for January 19
The first 4,000 fans will receive a bobblehead when the Sharks host the Adirondack Phantoms presented by Enterprise Cleaning
WORCESTER, MA – Worcester Sharks President Michael A. Mudd announced that the Worcester Sharks host a Rob Gronkowski puck spike bobblehead giveaway night on January 19, 2013 when the Sharks host Adirondack Phantoms at 7pm presented by Enterprise Cleaning at the DCU Center in Worcester.
New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski spiked a ceremonial puck before the Sharks game vs. the Providence Bruins on Friday, February 24, 2012 in front of the largest crowd in Sharks history (10,170). Click HERE to watch the puck spike.
Gronkowski agreed to spike the puck after the Worcester Sharks paid his NFL fine of $7,500 from November 18, 2011 for his unsportsmanlike spike following his second touchdown grab win over the Jets on November 13, 2011.
“We are expecting a huge crowd on January 19th and would like to thank Rob and the Gronk Nation Youth organization for making the bobblehead night a reality,” said Mudd. “It is going to be a huge night for Sharks and Patriots fans at the DCU Center.”
The first 4,000 fans will receive a GRONK PUCK SPIKE bobblehead when the Sharks host the Adirondack Phantoms presented by Enterprise Cleaning.  Fans are encouraged to arrive early. Doors will open at 3:30pm as Auburn will face Wachusett at 4pm for a high school hockey doubleheader. Puck drop for the Sharks vs. Phantoms is slated for 7pm.
The Gronkowski Story:
The Gronkowski family loves to get hyped, lift weights, and play football on Sundays, but they also love to give back to the community. The Gronkowski brothers came together and decided to create their own foundation, Gronk Nation Youth Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The Gronk Nation Youth Foundation exists to host events and creative concepts that generate funds for the benefit of youth charities.
