On Saturday, December 30, the Sharks will have a Fireworks display, sponsored by WXLO 104.5,  inside the DCU Center following a game against the Portland Pirates. The Sharks urge fans to attend the game and enjoy the post-game fireworks to ring in the New Year with a “bang!!” Saturday night means another Saturday Night Signing during the second intermission in the box office lobby.

The Sharks will also be having a book drive to benefit local schools through their "Reading is Cool" program.  Fans are encouraged to bring used books to donate and the Sharks will disburse the books to local schools in the area.
