Benn Ferriero back to Worcester

SAN JOSE – San Jose Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has reassigned forward Benn Ferriero to the Worcester Sharks, the team’s top development affiliate in the American Hockey League.
Ferriero has played in 23 games with San Jose this season, posting five points (two goals, three assists), a plus-four rating and eight penalty minutes.
In 22 games with Worcester, Ferriero is T-3rd on the team (T-8th among all AHL rookies) with 25 points (ten goals, 15 assists) and a plus-five rating, . Along with fellow Sharks prospect Logan Couture, he was named Reebok/AHL Rookie of the Month for December. In 10 games, Ferriero recorded 15 points (six goals, nine assists) and a plus-8 rating.
