2nd Annual “BE A LEADER” Community Service Day Set For Tuesday
Sharks players and staff join the Law Office of Abigail Williams and Associates for community service day at the Elm Park Community School in Worcester
WORCESTER - Worcester Sharks President and CEO Michael T. Lehr along with Abigail Williams, the principle of the Law Firm of Abigail Williams and Associates, announced that Sharks players and staff will join the office of the law firm of Abigail Williams and Associates for the 2nd annual “Be a Leader” Community Service Day at the Elm Park Community School in Worcester on Tuesday, November 3rd from 1-5p.m.
The Elm Park Community School of Worcester was chosen from several entries collected at www.SharksAHL.com.
This year, Consigli Construction has volunteered their equipment and services of ten project managers for the revamping of the inside and outside of the Elm Park Community School at no cost. The reconfiguration of the main entrance, painting of basketball court, construction of new benches, and refurbishing the outdoor walkway, are some of the projects expected to be completed on Tuesday.
“We feel that it is important to take time off from our normal busy work schedule to give back to the community,” said Lehr. We (the Sharks and the Law Firm of Abigail Williams and Associates) are fortunate to have great partners like Consigli Construction to step up this year. I would like to thank the city of Worcester, Department of Public Works and Public Schools for making this project a reality.”
The Sharks, the office of the Law Firm of Abigail Williams and Associates, and Consigli Construction, will roll up their sleeves and revamp the exterior and interior and of the Elm Park Community School in Worcester.
“Our entire office is really excited about Tuesday and can’t wait to help out,” said Abby Williams, principal of the Law Firm of Abigail Williams and Associates. “We are thrilled that this has become an annual event and that other businesses have joined our efforts.”
Created at the start of the 2007-08 season by the Worcester Sharks and the Law Firm of Abigail Williams and Associates, the “Be a Leader” program is designed to provide students between the grades of 4-6 with leadership tips to enrich their lives as well as others around them. Sharks players, staff, and Mascot Finz lead the school assemblies along with the principle of the Law Firm of Abigail Williams and Associates, Abby Williams.
Each participant in the program receives one ticket to an upcoming 2009-10 regular season Sharks home game and a “Be a Leader” promotional item compliments of the Law Firm of Abigail Williams and Associates.
