The Sharks kick off the 2009-10 season this Saturday, October 3 at the Glens Falls Civic Center against the East Division’s Adirondack Phantoms at 7:00pm.

What to watch for: Many Sharks’ rookies will make their professional debut including defenseman Nicholas Petrecki who grew up near Glens Falls in Schenectady, NY……..Former Shark Lukas Kaspar was recently assigned to the Phantoms roster.
Sharks Preview: The Sharks have won five straight regular season road games dating back to last season…. Either Alex Stalock or Tyson Sexsmith will make their professional debuts in goal…. Worcester was 1-1-0-0 at the Glens Falls Civic Center last season playing against the Albany River Rats… the Sharks have 13 rookies on their roster.
Phantoms Preview: The Phantoms are coming off a season where they reached the first round of the Calder Cup Playoffs. They return three of their top four scorers including Jared Ross (69 pts), Jonathan Matsumoto (63 pts) and Patrick Maroon (54 pts)……..Sean Curry will lead the defensive unit, he tied for the team lead in games played last season with 80........Goaltenders are Michael-Lee Teslak, Jeremy Duchesne and Nic Riopel……..NHL affiliate Philadelphia Flyers.
