SJ Sharks recall Brad Staubitz, assign Derek Joslin to Worcester

SAN JOSE SHARKS RECALL FORWARD BRAD STAUBITZ,
ASSIGN DEREK JOSLIN TO WORCESTER
 
 
            SAN JOSE – San Jose Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has recalled forward Brad Staubitz from the Worcester Sharks, the team’s top development affiliate in the American Hockey League.  The team also reassigned defenseman Derek Joslin to Worcester.
 
Staubitz has played in 15 games with the Sharks this season, posting three points (one goal, two assists), a plus-three rating and 42 penalty minutes.  He scored his first NHL goal, the game-winner, in his hometown of Edmonton, Alberta on Jan. 9.
 
In 33 games with Worcester, Staubitz has five assists and 84 penalty minutes.
 
He was originally signed by San Jose as a free agent on Sept. 19, 2005.
 
Joslin has played in 11 games with San Jose this season.
