“BE A LEADER” Community Service Day Set For Wednesday
Sharks players and staff join the law office of Abigail Williams and Associates for community service day at the Clark Street Elementary School in Worcester

WORCESTER - Worcester Sharks President and CEO Michael T. Lehr announced that in conjunction with the “Be a Leader” program, that Sharks players and staff will join the office of the law firm of Abigail Williams and Associates for the “Be a Leader” Community Service Day at the Clark Street Elementary School in Worcester on Wednesday, October 29th from 1-5p.m.

“We feel that it is important to take time off from our normal busy work schedule to give back to the community,” said Lehr.  “Clark Street Elementary School has been a great partner of the “Be a Leader” and “Reading is Cool” programs and this is our way to show our support by revamping the outside exterior of their school and playgrounds.  We have been fortunate to have the city of Worcester, Department of Public Works and Public Schools all on board to make this project a reality.”

The Sharks and the office of the Law Firm of Abigail Williams and Associates will roll up the sleeves and revamp the outside exterior and playgrounds of the Clark Street Elementary School in Worcester. The basketball court, playground, outside exterior of the school, parking lots, and street hockey rink will all be refurbished by the Sharks players and staffs.

“Our entire office is really excited about this event and we encourage other local businesses to take the time and energy to help their community,” said Abby Williams, principal of the Law Firm of Abigail Williams and Associates.  “We hope to lead by example by rolling up our sleeves and getting things done. Today’s youth will be tomorrow’s leaders.”

Created at the start of the 2007-08 season by the Worcester Sharks and the Law Firm of Abigail Williams and Associates, the “Be a Leader” program is designed to provide students between the grades of 4-6 with leadership tips to enrich their lives as well as others around them.  Sharks players, staff, and Mascot Finz lead the school assemblies along with the principle of the Law Firm of Abigail Williams and Associates, Abby Williams.
