Tonight…
The Sharks and the Sound Tigers meet for the 1st time this season, the 1st at the DCU Center.  Tonight’s game marks the return of Mike Iggulden, who is the all-time goal (59) and points (123) leader for the Worcester Sharks in 151 games. The Sharks are 3-4-1 all time vs. the Sound Tigers. The two teams will meet four times this season.
 
In case you missed it…
The Worcester Sharks fell to the Providence Bruins 3-1 last night at the DCU Center.  The Sharks out shot the Bruins 34-12 but Tuukka Rask was stellar in net making 33 saves for the Bruins.  Derek Joslin scored the only goal for the Sharks, his first of the season at 8:12 of the 2nd period on a 5-on-3 power play.
 
The Sound Tigers blew a 3-1 lead in Portland and lost to the Pirates 4-3.  Former Worcester Shark, Mike Iggulden scored his team leading 5th goal of the season.  Bridgeport scored two power play goals and out shot the Pirates 36-27.
 
Misc.
*The Sharks have nine fighting major penalties this season through five games. Six different players have dropped the gloves already this season. (Moore, Demers, Cavanagh, Frazer McLaren (3), Jamie McGinn, and Brett Westgarth (2).
*The Sharks have allowed four shorthanded goals in the first five games this season (allowed just 7 in 80 games last season).
*The Sharks have scored the first goal in 4-of-5 game this season (Larose, Fenton, McGinn, McGinn).
*Worcester has outshot their opponents in all five games.

What’s on tap?
The Sharks will travel to Hartford (Friday, Oct. 31st), and return home for two more games against Manchester (Saturday, Nov. 1st) and Portland (Wednesday, Nov. 5th) at the DCU Center.
