Tonight…
The Sharks and the Bruins meet for the 2nd time this season, the 2nd at the DCU Center. The Sharks are 1-0-0-0 vs. the Bruins this season. The Sharks defeated the Bruins 3-2 in overtime last Saturday. Ryan Vesce scored the winner, while Jamie McGinn and Riley Armstrong scored the other goals for the Sharks.
In case you missed it…
The Worcester Sharks defeated the Hartford Wolf Pack 5-4 in the shootout at the DCU Center on Wednesday night. Jamie McGinn scored twice in the victory, once in the first period and again in the third. Cory Larose and Patrick Traverse also scored goals, while Kyle McLaren, Derek Joslin, and Mike Morris, among others, had assists. Larose and Steven Zalewski each scored in the shootout, while Thomas Greiss denied all four Wolf Pack shooters to ensure the Worcester victory. The Sharks outshot the Bruins 36-25 and Thomas Greiss made 21 saves in net.
The Bruins faced off against Portland on Sunday. Providence came out on top, 4-1, in Portland with goals from Mark Bomersback, Brad Marchand, Matt Marquardt, and Martins Karsums. Tuukka Rask made 26 saves in net while the Bruins were perfect on the penalty kill (8-for-8).

*The Sharks have nine fighting major penalties this season through four games. Six different players have dropped the gloves already this season. (Moore, Demers, Cavanagh, Frazer McLaren (3), Jamie McGinn, and Brett Westgarth (2)).
*The Sharks have allowed three shorthanded goals in the first three games this season (allowed just 7 in 80 games last season).
*Steven Zalewski and Jamie McGinn have recorded a point in all four games this season, with McGinn recording five points total and Zalewski four.

The Sharks end their four-game home stand after tonight’s battle against Bridgeport on Saturday (Oct. 25th). The Sharks will then travel to Hartford (Friday, Oct. 31st), and return home for two more games against Manchester (Saturday, Nov. 1st) and Portland (Wednesday, Nov. 5th) at the DCU Center.
