Drafted: San Jose Sharks 2nd Round (36th overall) in 2006 Draft
Season Highlight: Contributing right from the get-go, McGinn marked his return to Worcester on Mar. 29 with an assist at Lowell.
Did you know?: When he was playing for Ottawa (OHL), McGinn won Fastest Skater in the 2005-06 Prospects Skills Competition.
2007-08 in a Nutshell: For the second-consecutive year, McGinn joined Worcester (from juniors) at the end of its season and contributed with multiple points (two points in both 2007-08 and 2006-07). The youngster looks to continue his development with a strong season in Worcester eying a future in San Jose!

2007-08 with Worcester: Final Stats – 8 games played, 2 points (0 goals, 2 assists),  0 penalty minutes, -4 rating …  Credited with an assist on 4/2 at Springfield … Marked his return to Worcester with an assist on 3/29 at Lowell … Reassigned to Worcester from Ottawa (OHL) on 3/28.
 
NOTES:  Playoffs: McGinn returned from an upper body injury just in time for the 2008 playoffs where Ottawa is in a first round match up with the Oshawa Generals. McGinn has recorded three points (two goals, 1 assist) so far in the series… Regular Season: McGinn finished the regular season tied first on his team in points with 58 (29 goals, 29 assists) through 51 games. McGinn also finished first on the team in +/- at +10…McGinn had 10 points (6 goals, 4 assists) in 10 games for the month of February… …McGinn scored a goal and had a short-handed assist in the 67’s loss to Kingston on Jan.26…McGinn missed nine games due to a back injury, but returned to the Ice Jan. 25…McGinn scored a natural hat trick on December 16th against the Mississauga St. Michael's Majors…McGinn serves as the teams Captain and plays on a line with fellow Sharks prospect Logan Couture…McGinn was named the fastest skater at the 2006-07 Prospect Skills Competition, and won a gold medal with Team Canada at a recent Under-18 tournament.
