Brendan Buckley Back In Worcester!

The newest member of the Sharks, Brendan Buckley threw out the first pitch at the Worcester Tornadoes game on Tuesday on Kevin Shea Bobblehead Night!  Buckley tossed a high and tight fastball to the Tornadoes catcher.

Buckley, who played in Germany last season, posted nine points (2-7-9) and 107 penalty minutes in 63 games as captain of the AHL’s Manchester Monarchs during the 2006-07 season.

The 31-year-old has appeared in 501 career AHL games with Cincinnati, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Syracuse, the Worcester IceCats, Peoria, and Manchester, totaling 83 points (13-70-83) and 84 penalty minutes.

A Needham, Mass., native, Buckley reached the Calder Cup Finals in 2001 with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and has totaled five assists in 54 career Calder Cup Playoff games. He played against the Worcester Sharks in the first round of the 2007 Calder Cup Playoffs as a member of Manchester. Buckley was originally drafted by Anaheim in 1996.
