On Sunday June 22, 2008 FINZ and the Worcester Sharks will be attending the BLOCKFIVE 5K.  This event will be held in Worcester to benefit the Pancreatic Cancer Alliance.  FINZ will be rollerblading with other participants.  All of the proceeds go to the Pancreatic Cancer Alliance at UMass Memorial.

           

The Pancreatic Cancer Alliance needs the support of families and friends of all kinds to help continue the ongoing battle against this horrible disease.  An issue in our community as well as across the country, this cancer has affected many people in many ways.  Pancreatic cancer is the fourth leading cause of death in this country and together we can help contribute to the fight against it.  

 

This is the second annual BLOCKFIVE 5K.  Last year was a memorable event for the city and this year should be just as rewarding.  In collaboration with the City of Worcester and the WPD the 5K road race will start and finish at BLOCKFIVE.  The street surrounding BLOCKFIVE will also be blocked off for the “Block Party” which includes food, beverages and entertainment of all kinds.  Do not forget to participate in the raffles and the auction for the chance to win prizes.
